01

The problem this solves

Ahead of hiring a team, acquiring a company or approving a rewrite, the actual state of the code is worth establishing. Half a day of a senior engineer's time goes into the repository: does it run locally, how much is tested, how knotted are the dependencies, what does the commit history reveal about how people work. The report that follows is short, rates maintainability, names the three biggest risks and estimates the effort roughly.

02

What you receive

  1. A report of 3 to 4 pages, without filler
  2. A maintainability rating, with the argument for it
  3. The 3 leading technical risks, their likely cost and rough remediation effort
  4. What we saw of test coverage and of dependency currency
  5. Notes on documentation, local setup and the difficulty of onboarding
  6. A view on working practice, as the commit and review history reveals it

03

What changes afterwards

An external reading before money is committed to a direction

The rewrite conversation moves from volume to evidence

A brief document suitable for a board or an investor

04

Is it the right fit?

Ideal for

  • Buyers or investors wanting a fast technical read ahead of diligence
  • Founders on the verge of recruiting engineers in-house
  • Managers hearing that the whole thing needs rewriting

What we need from you

  • Read access to the principal repository, history included
  • One sentence on what the software does and roughly its user numbers
  • Anything specific that worries you and should be examined

05

Before you buy

Yes. It is in Indian rupees with 18% GST included, and it is exactly what you pay at checkout. Nothing is added afterwards for the scope listed on this page.

The working days are counted from the day we hold your payment, the completed brief and everything listed under “What we need from you”. If an input arrives late, the handover date moves by the same number of days.

Ask before you buy. We will confirm in writing whether it sits inside this scope, point you to a better-fitting service, or tell you it needs separate work.

On full payment, the code, configuration, designs and documents produced for this service belong to your organisation, as set out in our Terms.

Each unit repeats the listed scope once. It does not stretch a single unit to cover more.
