Occasionally the need is a single reasoned answer rather than an engagement: which database, whether a mobile quote is fair, why a page takes nine seconds. Put the question to us with enough surrounding detail, and the reply from a senior engineer gives a position, the thinking behind it, and the circumstances that would alter it.
