The problem this solves
Taking the money is the simple half; the difficulty starts afterwards, with repeated webhooks, UPI collect requests that complete minutes late and refunds that never appear in the ledger. We wire up a UPI payment gateway with order creation that is idempotent, webhooks whose signatures are checked, and a nightly job that sets gateway settlements against your own records. A declined payment retries cleanly, and mandates are covered where billing recurs.
