The problem this solves
A scheduled script can fail without a sound for weeks, until a month-end figure comes out wrong. We move that work into an orchestration tool for scheduled pipelines, where each run is visible, a failure reaches the person who can fix it and a backfill is ordinary work rather than a lost weekend. Eight pipelines are covered at most, with idempotent tasks and stated dependencies so nothing reads half-written data.
