The problem this solves

The back end you build now decides how easily the product changes later. We write a service meant to last: clear resource controllers, validated requests, migrations that apply cleanly to a fresh database, queued jobs wherever work is slow, and tests where they earn their place. Each endpoint is described in a machine-readable API specification, against whichever relational engine you favour, so client developers are never guessing at a payload.
